Wojtek?

A big old grizzly inside a comparatively small tank. According to dozens of comments on my instagram, this drawing reminds them of a Serbian bear named "Wojtek" during WW2 who served on the front lines.

Here's a great synopsis: "The bear was named Wojtek and became more than a mascot, but another person of the unit, smoking cigarettes which he later ate, drinking beer and play wrestling with the men. He was treated like another soldier and adored by everyone." (Eden Camp Modern History Museum)
